Dafna Talmor says that her Constructed Landscapes are "made of collaged and montaged colour negatives shot across different locations that include Israel, Venezuela, the UK and USA. Initially taken as mere keepsakes, landscapes are merged and transformed through the act of slicing and splicing. The resulting photographs are a conflation – ‘real’, yet virtual and imaginary."
A rising star, Dafna was recently commissioned by the FT Weekend Magazine for a special art fair supplement. Her solo exhibitions include TOBE Gallery (Budapest, 2018) and Photofusion (London, 2017), and she has featured in numerous group shows, the latest being at Unseen Amsterdam (CO-OP Section with London Alternative Photography Collective) in September 2018.
Dafna was shortlisted for the MACK First Book Award 2018, and is the recipient of numerous other grants and awards. Her work has appeared in many prestigious art publications from ArtReview to The British Journal of Photography.
